I have built a "munty frame" for my runner beans. Any ideas what I can plant underneath at it is a big area to leave without a crop in. Also could I put futher trellis/netting around the sides and plant peas?

There are three signs of old age. The first is your loss of memory, the other two I forget.

I tend to do lettuce or similar before the beans are big and then broccoli and khol-rabi do well there as long as it's not to thick.

Oh, I missed it was a munty one, never used one, if it's open to one side, as CQ says, a lot of things will do well, courgettes keep growing in the bin once you pulled them up.

Hi Big Jen, I had a few rows of salad crops under mine last year, then I succeeded them with a courgette under it and it did fine and cropped like crazy!!

I'm doing exactly the same this year.
