I have never tried duck eggs and have 4 fertile runners under a broody at now 24 days- I had a quick check today and almost dropped one I heard it cheep! Isn't this a bit early for duck eggs :?:  Had a quick look at the others and def something going on with all of them!

Also has anyone else experiance of hatching duck eggs under a hen?

Was 28 days for mine but is it less for call ducks?

I dont know -these are Indian Runners....cant wait almost finished their "starter pond"

26 days for call ducks as far as I know it's 28 for runners

They could be internally pipping at 24/25 days

keep an eye on them they will rest 24 hrs then start the external pip, which can take 1-2 days which will take you to 28 days

My Blossom...a brahma, hatched out 4 indian runners 2 years ago....she was a brilliant mum!!!!

A little braver now at 24hours old, all have hatched and are so lovely, they are rather wobbly and mum isn't quite sure what shes hatched!!!
