Ey up Lee

I grow flowers on my lotty too, so do lots of the blokes. They like to grow chrysanths and dahlias which are both good for cutting.  I grow dark red nasturtiums, bright red escholzias, loads of calendula, SWEET PEAS you just have to grow, impomeoa, gladioli.  In tubs and window boxes and an old lav I grow hanging baskets plants  :D

Hi

I did the same thing last year and found dahlias and asters did well as they did not need too much attention and made good cut flowers.
I am trying gladioli too this year as others on my site grow them and say they do well.

They also attract bees and other benificial insects to your veg crops.

Calendula, or pot marigold is a really easy, colourful plant to grow and even better, is often used in companion planting.

When can you plant Carnations - do they need to go in at any particular time?
