I haven't got anything in with my chooks at the moment - would a round washing up bowl (in fetching lime green) do if I fill with sand? Does in need to be white sand - like in sandpits - I cold always 'borrow' some from the children.

They have been out a week now and love the cube. Let them roam the garden for the first time tonight - the seemed to think next doors was much more exciting than mine - need to get some netting or mesh now.

Anyone know where I can get some plastic coated mesh to make a moveable run - I have a small one on the cube but want a bigger portable one for them.

Thanks

My girls just took to one of my planters!!!  So I gave it them, they have compost in it, and any ash left over from my sons fires.  They love it, even when they have clumps of it falling off them LOL
