I would sow 'em inside and plant outside after the risk of frost has passed.

I'ts probably a bit cold outside and they may just rot before germinating and if we get a frost then you're kn@#ckered anyway. :D

It's all about patience this year due to the dodo cold weather so don't sow too soon. :D

I've only just sown mine INSIDE. At least another 3 - 4 weeks before I THINK about outside.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I shall now plant up in pots...... I guess its just the same as the runners then.....

I havent grown french beans before but the packet says plant April/May.....

I am also going to grow some Borlotti beans as well....

If you're planting outside, better to go for the later dates to be safe. Even if there's no frost germination will be slower with colder weather & there's a greater risk of the seed rotting.

All my bean seed were sown just a few days ago in the greehouse.
