Newbie Hi and plant ID please

Hello all!
Hurray!! i managed to post a picture!

I have recently got a 1/2 plot and am in the process of clearing it.
Can someone ID this plant please?

It's growing low to the ground, lbit ike a strawberry plant, there's literally hundreds of them covering about a 1/4 of plot. The leaf is about 12cm across

That just has to be a creeping buttercup - I think!

Aren't you just very good DD, would have not recognised anything from that photo and I do have acres of buttercups.

Well, I only know from digging the things out, missing one or two & seeing the flower, which is a give away. Perhaps you get all yours, Gobs, and don't let them get to that state!

I've been digging up loads today - I would say the same - creeping buttercup.

I was overjoyed when i first saw them as i thought i'd inherited hundreds of strawbs (doh). So they need to be dug up then right?

i have these on my plot also, dig them up asap! They are little * and spread like crazy!!!
