Potaotes how many seed potatoes in a 2.5kg bag and others

Anybody got a clue how many seed pot's you get in a 2.5kg bag.?

Also is it OK to save the little spuds you get in the bottm of a sack from the farm for seed ? as I'm tight fisted and want to plant a load of spuds on my lottie next year, we get through a sack every 2 weeks or so as there's nine of us in our house.

150 hens egg size approx and yes.keep em cool . in a hessian sack out of the frost .

was working outside a chippy yesterday and the spud man rolled up in his truck.i asked him how much for a sack,£6 he said but ive got none spare (idiot).anyway after a short chat he said after Christmas they would be between £8-£9 a sack for 25kg.

more like £4 -£5 they only that now here ,sack carrots is only £2.50p feed ones .. only thing wrong with themis they to blooming big for supermarkets so buy blanch and freeze them

nooooooooooo in 2.5 kgs you will get about 6- 8 to the lb i think ,,,,,,,,ohhhhhh my head hurts :cry:

You could look up your nearest Potato Day? That's where I bought my spuds last year because I prefer a large variety and not so many plants so I only bought 5-10 spuds of each variety I wanted. Good taster course of random varieties. They have organic varieties and they don't cost any more than the other seed potatoes (about 20p a tater if i remember correctly).http://www.thewhitchurchweb.org/potatoday/potatodays.htm
