leylandi ..advice please

We are about to remove some very big Leylandi trees, can anyone advise on whether the branches, which will be put through a chipper machine, can be used for paths etc (over membrane ).Would they need to be treated.Should we only use the wood and discard the greenery.

Don't take this a gospel - as I've never done it! But if I were doing it without asking someone first, my instinct says, discard the greenery & use the chippings untreated.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Go for it, we have tons literally dumped by the council most of it seems mixed green and chippings, With it being Leylandi I don't think it will matter to much if you remove the green.
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

It appears that given time green and brown stuff ,removed from leylandii, put through the mincer will compost down and become a valuable soil  improver .especially if mixed with grass cuttings and turned regularly.
