Ooh had a bit of a shock looking at vegmandan's second photo as my plot has a stone wall with fields beyond and it looks just like mine (beyond the wall - not all the lovely flowers)

Nearly there wildone - have you been down lately to make sure all the plots are being used? It is beginning of the season and some may have decided not to bother. Good luck.  :)

It's no better down here at the moment I can assure you!  I do miss the countryside, where we lived in Leeds it was only a 10 minute drive to the country, round here I do have Epping Forest nearby which is also lovely, but as my brother in law (now living in Australia) also says, yeah it's nice, but it's not Yorkshire!

Pretty big site - looks well kept, (unfortunately for you).

I see most of the holders are 'grow it in a row' exponents like wot I am.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I'm a 'grow in a row' person too. While I can appreciate the aesthetics of shaped beds, they're a pain to maintain and really reduce food output with all the paths they require. And you can't rotovate shaped beds either as they're usually fixed. As gardeners age, they really appreciate the back breaking work a rotovator saves. Could be why MKH just got one as well
