We have planted these lovely looking carrots in a trough which is high enough for them not to be a victim of carrot fly but unfortunately they dont look so lovely..... they are quite leggy, we have thinned them and they are about 2" tall but are very thin and straggley HELP!!!!!!  where are we going wrong, any tips would be appreciated.

Any chance the sides of the container shading them if the soil level is low, can happen.
