Just had a woolies frenzy

and bought 2 blueberry bushes and a cranberry. I have heard that cranberries can be companion planted with bluebs, is this true ? Am planning to plant the bushes in large plastic containers

just remembered what I was supposed to do this lunch, go in to woolies and get some glen ample rasp's, whilst they were reduced, 4 canes for £2

Don't forget blueberries need ericaceous compost and watch the tap water if you're in a chalky area.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

We've got very clay-heavy soil, so I think I'm right in thinking the water should be OK ?

Right, it says we're in a "very hard" water area - so presumably I should just be giving them rain or boiled water ?
