Hi.

Just got back from Aldi bought some seeeds for 35p a go,ooh ooh, and some grow bags for 99p!!!Wanted to ask a question. again, sorry folks  Have seen some large garden bags, the ones that spring up, priced at £2.99. If i make some holes at the bottom, could I grow tatties in them? Or anything else for that matter?

Have you got an old swing bin with broken lid, rendering it almost useless or looking for a job? Almost anything of similar strength, waterproof & depth that you can put drainage holes in the bottom will probably do. Dig out your shed, loft, cellar, recycling depot, ask friends, family, .....

Hi

Yes you can plant potatoes in pop up containers.
I did it last year with the ones from tesco - they will reduce these eventually!!

Make some holes around the outside and plant strawberries.  I just bought a custom made pop up strawberry planter today, wish I'd seen this first and saved a few pounds.

Excellent, I was going to ask the same question.  Have a couple of these already then spotted the mega cheap ones on the Poundland website yesterday.  Yippee, nearest store is 30 miles away from me, think I'll head up there this weekend and do a trip to Aldi too.

How many seed potatoes would you suggest per pop up bag?
Are we nearly there yet?
