Hatching Eggs

Thought I'd post a thread here for Aggie and Munty, like a dairy with photos. I'll forget what happened on what day if I don't!

Today (Tues 15th) I've turned off the turning thing, (I did make sure I'd turned off the right thing) and removed the dividers. I'll top up the water this evening then I'll leave the lid on till the hatching and drying is finished.

They'll come when they are ready Kathy!  Last I heard from Anna, was that she thought there were 7 live ones, wouldn't it be lovely for her if you hatched more than that?????   She'd be over the moon!!

I've heard tapping!

Is it ok to use flash photography, I'm going to try and get pics without lifting the lid.

Well after sleeping on the couch all night, not a cheep (pardon the pun)!

Went out this morning and came back to see one of the eggs now has a wee hole in the shell.  I take it that means the process has started? Agapanthus said they should hatch on Wednesday and in one of the books she lent me it's says that any unhatched eggs after 22 days are probably dead. How exact is the timing for gestation?

Question!
There are no signs of the other eggs starting yet, do I wait till they've all hatched before removing them, or do I remove the first one after 12 hrs or so (Muntjac said they let you know when they're ready to come out)?

Wasn't sure what to do and it was banging it's beak of the sides of the incubator looking quite distressed. I've moved it to the brooder, it pooed, drank and ate straight away! Just hope it gets some playmates now.
