Small update. Just cleaned out the box she slept in last night and found another soft egg in the straw.

That's 2 soft eggs in less than 10 hours. No wonder she's cream crackered, the poor girl !!!!

Must be all out of synch and needing a bit of TLC.

Thats good news! Glad she feels better  

 if you are short on oyster shell  what I have done in the past is crushed some old shells baked them in the oven then mixed in with a handful of mixed corn. That might help with giving extra calcium. Poultry Spice or Poultry Boost will aslo help provide extra minerals .I have heard its quite difficult for hens to pass soft shelled eggs so probably why she was a bit down.

Julie found advice on the omlet site which says they can look a bit stunned and down for a couple of hours before laying soft'uns.

It's part of the learning curve i suppose. We'll know for next time. You wouldn't think anything had troubled them looking at them now. Chirruping and pecking away happy as larry.
