have a look on the omlet website, you can read about different breeds, their laying habits and personalities.

and pictures.

go for the ones that you just have to have when you see it.

thats what i do.....hence why i dont have just 2 chooks as i originally planned

Ive got 5 chickens. 1 pekin bantum. 1 hybrid of some sort and 3 battery hens. Bantum is gorgeous looking and very easy to pick up coz shes so small but all of them are very tame. My ex bats are loverly. They look half plucked at the moment but i completely adore them. I would fill my garden with bantams if i was going for looks but i just love to watch my 3 girls that have been kept in cages all their lives enjoying being on the grass acting like normal happy chickens.

Its near Catterick and he has a good selection. I got 6 Sussex from there last Sunday.

I am getting some light sussex RIR corsses for my back garden.  Got them from http://www.traditionalpigs.com/  he delivers if you are within 75 miles of Pickering.
