If the soil is well prepared as per Brassica, they should not need any feeding.

Also, depending on variety, they might be a fast , short term crop, a bit like radish, so won't matter much at all.

Try not to transplant them much though, especially of this small, fast growing type, protect from slugs and harden off, plant out early, cold tolerant like with most brassica.

Keep them watered, otherwise they go horribly tough and stringy.

But not over-watered or they split, as mine did in the bad weather last year!

I grate them raw into salads, or cut them into chunks and roast them with other veg, or boil them and mash them in with spuds, but this seems to take ages.

Depends on variety, how long you can leave them, but all can be harvested continuously from a young age, the seed packet should refer to this, but a lot of them are harvested at tennis ball size.

Keep evenly moist as with radish.

Also can steam or use in veg soups and stews as you would use a root veg.

Sweet stew, the name says it all: equal amounts of carrot, peas and khol-rabi cooked together in a bit of stock, add cream or soured cream and parsley, seasoning.

Use clean leaves as cabbage.
