At the risk of repeating myself (again), here's how I grow perfect radish..

Quote from: "DD."

I also have my own way with radishes, deep seed tray, (cat litter tray with drainage holes), one seed every inch.

Here's the first lot - soon to go outside..

This was from a post last year. My first lot have now reached this stage this year.

This is how Medym Williams grows them for exhibition. When they go outside I put them on top of the water barrel, not even the slugs seem to climb that high & I end up with unnibbled  radish.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

One seed = one watermelon PLANT. This will bear several melons.

One should be so lucky!

This is a very interesting topic.

No, radishes do not vegetatively reproduce.

Sammie, beetroot - what you get in the seed packet is technically a fruit, some varieties are monogerm, containing one seed per fruit, but most are multi or polygerm, containing 2-4 seeds.

Roots - one per plant

Tubers, rhisomes - plenty per plant

Fruit - several per plant

Stalks and leaves - varied, depends on type

Flower - as in cauli-, again varied

Bulbs - again, varied

You should have better things to put in there, indeed.

Do NOT attempt to re-plant radish - they don't like it. They should be sown where they are to mature.

It's easy to tell when they're ready, you can see an eatable radish below the leaves.

Oh well I kinda have to re plant them The container i have them in is a small container, I just cut off a bottom of a water bottle and planted a lot of seeds in it and they all satrted to grow fast If i new they didnt like being re planted i would have planted them in  somthing bigger, I think It will be ok Im a good transplanter :) There the same size as the ones you have in the pic you posted so ill transplant them soon! How do radishes do in the cold? Winter isnt wanting to leave yet one day it will be really hot and nice out to snowing the next day, it isnt quit summer weather yet. Well I want to plant them outside in a planter thingy will they do ok in the chilly weather? Or should i keep them inside a little bit longer?
