Well have just planted 2 10ft apple trees orange pippin cox, a cherry tree, a conference pear and a james grieves plus holes prepared for a fondante d' automne a rare and lucky find! thanks to this forum!! and 3 cant remember their name but cider apple trees. We are planting a small orchard and my hands are so so sore!
plus a wellingtonia and a lebanon cedar....... :shock:  :shock:

katy  apples are wonderful  and my favourite- medium dry- thats what we did last year. Dabinett is what we are picking up tommorrow this will make quite a dry cider and possibly an old cider apple tree called "Gloucester"
Make some lovely cider last year - my OH improvised with a drill and a bucket to mash the apples it was great fun!   (ouch it hurts to laugh!)
