I'm tempted to try that with a new dog! I go round hoping a stray will follow me home cos I'm sure he wouldn't be hard hearted enough to turn it away once it was here. Especially if this bloomin snow keeps on

They are so cute. Would love more tips on what to say to husbands. we got 2 chickens in january this year, then we looked at the mess they had made of the garden and my husband said no more, then i had to have 3 battery hens and when we picked them up i could have brought another 3 with us . It is definatly chicken addiction. I even called one of them the name i wanted to call my son if he'd been a girl. My daughter wants a white chicken, maybe i could sneak one in and say gosh where did that come from, does that work?

Oh Babe, they're totally gorgeous! Some of my silkie chicks last year started life sort of grey and little bits of white but now are completely black! Is the pink blanket like those that photographers use for baby pictures?!! Every time I see piccies of your birds indoors, I imagine them living lives of complete and utter luxury...well pink blankets and jumpers..!! 8)

The way to get over your addiction is simple.....stop looking at new birds!!

We have 7 hens, three cockerals, one still wet chick, at least one pipped egg, 6 other eggs due tomorrow, 15 week old meat chicks and 26 eggs in the incubator. Do I qualify?  :D  :D  :D
Oh - plus I just put four eggs under another hen who has gone broody. Good timing actually as when momma hen number one has finished hatching her chicks in our broody coop in the next day or so, we can move her in there!!
If you get them as chicks they are small cute and innocent looking (plus you can squeeze in an extra couple and he won't notice) There is no way my other half can say no to cute bundles of fluff!!  :tongue2:
