Hi Aunt Sally, so these runny, shiny, smelly poos are nothing to worry about?  Just got my hens this weekend and keep seeing poos like that around and was getting a bit worried?  They all seem fine and bright and are eating and drinking, and we've had 2 eggs  :D   Think 2 are laying now and one yet to lay.  Also the egg found today was in the run, just sat there, very small so think it's a first egg for my Lohman as it was darker (the others are Amberlink), will she learn to use the nest box?

Fascinating subject poo

I think I'll have to do a photographic study

Try putting a couple of golf balls in the nest to show the chooks where to put their eggs  :D

Yes I think you seem to know quite a bit about poo and that's a great idea to post something on about it with pics would be extremely helpful to us newbies  :D

We've got some golf balls in the nest and tonight have raised it a bit off the floor to see if that helps.

Thanks Aunt Sally  :D
