Aldi are advertising 6 strawberry plants for £2.99 on Thursday. I bought some of these last year (different varieties) and they have grown really well so I will be down there on Thursday for some more.

Got some today. Very healthy looking plants. Also got a load of others, Tomato, cauli, cabbage and lettuce.

Hi all - so does anyone know if Aldi have strawbs in now or not? Just that I need some more (ideally potted one rather than bare rooted)

Yep, they should be in store from today. As I say I am off to get mine tomorrow. The ones I have had from them for the last two years have done very well.

the look like quality plants and did they fruit at different times during the summer Matron?

When was your first and last harvest ? Are they known varietys ?

They come in sixes and unless someone has mixed them up  (I know what I wanted) then there will be 2 earlies, 2 mids and 2 lates. They are known varieties but all I can remember at the moment is Elsanta.

Bought 12 Cabbage and 12 Cauli plants yesterday. Added bonus is that the "mini greenhouse" can be cleaned and used again once the plants have been potted on. Managed to get the last couple of packs as most had been bought by the afternoon. No tomato plants left and only a few lettuce but plenty of strawbs.

Someone must have switched then (and not me this year  ) as I have 2 Amelia, 2 Christine and 2 Alice in my packs. They are now sitting patiently in the greenhouse until the weather stops being wet and windy.
