A great new book
« on: March 22, 2008, 17:08 »
I have received a really good book about allotments by some chap called John Harrison. Only trouble is someone has scribbled on the front cover.

Seriously, it's great. Full of really sensible and useful advice. My husband, who enjoys working at the allotment, but hasn't much of a clue about growing things has actually read it cover to cover today, as if it were a novel. Now suddenly he is saying "We should make a bean trench" and "I think we need to lime the brassica bed"  :)

Good work John - at last he has actually looked at a growing book.
Lynne.

So much to do, but so little time.
