Time to get a gun methinks.

We ahd a wonderful load of purple sprouting -  4 plants and enough broccoli to keep us going for weeks!  Delicious it was too - then one morning the blasted rabbits have got through our defences and had the lot - kale too!

Any ideas (apart from shooting the pests!)? - I've surrounded my veg garden with fencing (and surrounded it with large stones to stop them digging underneath), but obviously the fencing is not high enough (or something similar).

I remember we used to have problems with our next door neighbours rabbits digging under the fence and coming into our garden. We put a barrier of chicken wire under ground around the perimeter of the fence so that if they dug down they still couldn't get through.hard work but never had rabbits come in again so worth it! Good luck with it!

Well you get your vegetables one way or another if you eat the rabbit ha ha.

I have trouble with deer at work, they eat all my lovely plants because they try before they buy so to speak.  My method and it seems to work is to stick lots of sticks in the ground around these plants so it gets them on the nose.  Seems to keep them away.

I do not know if this works with rabbits though.  Worth a try?  They seem to like soft new shoots.

We have twice had a baby rabbit in the garden (that we have noticed) They came through the chain link fencing as the olive farmer cleared his land   I´ve got everything crossed it has made it´s way back into the olive grove and isn´t hiding under the log pile
Good luck with the fencing!

You should watch where you let your Jack Russell.  I once heard some one couldn't control theirs and it went down a Badger sett.  Never to be seen again.

i secured holes all around the perimiter of our allotment with all maner of things then sat one night and watched as they very easily jumped straight over the tin sheeting never even touching it, about 3 feet high so think hight as well as under i added two feet high chicken wire allround and touch wood no more rabits on or plot.

Yep I have pet bunnies and they can easily clear a 3ft barrier, my biggest one can clear 4ft too.  You do need to dig it in a good way or they will just make a burrow under it, stones won't stop them for long!

Whippets are very good at detering rabbits although they do lack tact and diplomacy when they catch them
