broad beans started off in plug trays
« on: March 19, 2008, 14:30 »
my broad beans that I started off have reached critical mass - should I plant them direct outside now or chuck them in some 5" pots for a while?? Same with the Borlotti Beans!!

they are lifting the lid off their propagator lid!

And how about for peas???
Good beer, good BBQ and good friends.

broad beans are hardy but your borlottis aren't and shouldn't be planted out til after frost. You sowed em too early didn't you (wags finger)  :D

Everybody told you so. :tongue2:

Why ask a question and then ignore the answer? :?  My MIL knows: 'people just don't listen you know'

Thing is not belt and braces, within 2 weeks they'll be so big, you have to throw them out as would have outgrown the house.

As for the broad beans, I would leave them till this cold spell passes, once they were grown indoors.
