Knowing how you lot love to see pictures of new chicks, I have decided to instead describe them 8)

Got a batch of 21 due to hatch today and right on cue No1 a little RIR has popped on out.  2 more eggs have pipped both welsummers, so expect a busy few hours.

PS, I promise to take some photos when hatching has progressed.

Happiest in the countryside.

Patience, there are another 20 eggs to hatch and I have no plans to open the incubator until 4pm at the earliest.

Still only 1 chick and the other 2 pips have progressed slowly.

So where is it?
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Right, all you with no patience sorry I kepy you waiting for the photos.

4pm came and only 1 had hatched and had had to go out to a dinner function last night, so I made the decision to leave the incubator and go to dinner.  On getting back midnight about 5 were hatched so I left the incubator closed and went to bed.  This morning there are 9 little peeps and pipping in another 6 eggs, the 9 peeps were well fluffed so I trasnferred to the brooder and here are the pictures.

So far we have 7 welsummers and 2 RIR.
