Introducing my delightful ladies!
« on: March 17, 2008, 22:08 »
After fetching my lovely ladies last Saturday, i have taken a few pics of their first day indoors and their first day outside a few days later when the weather permitted!

Does anyone know where we are?

Ooh whats this stuff for?

Did you call me?

Hmmmm i'm not sure whats out here?

OK Girls - Follow me!

Whats in this stuff then - can we eat it?

What time does the band start?

My new best friend!

Hope the pics turn out ok as I havent tried it before - but if i get the hang of it i'll definately try some more !  :D

Aw!   Beautiful.  What lucky and I must say happy looking chooks.  They look like they're getting into the spirit of free range already.  It's fantastic to see how they adapt.

It's heart breaking to see them like that but they'll soon come good.  They look like ISA Browns to me.

They look like have jaunty hats on. Why we always think of them as ladies I suppose.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

when you first get them they look a sorry sight, but it's surprising how quickly they put on weight and feathers.

Keep us posted as they feather up - they look just like my goldlines did when I got them but now they're completely different and their personalities come through really quickly!

I'm sure they'll be really happy with you  :D

We love them dearly bald bits and all! their personalities are certainly coming through thats for sure we have several names already!

Beatrice - (Shes queen B and the top of the pecking order!)
Dora - (The Explorer, always the first one to stick her beak in!)
McQueen - ('Steve' - keeps trying to leap the fence!)
Peggy sue - ('Peg leg' who has a poorly leg and needs some TLC)
Rasher - (A very large floppy comb that looks like bacon!)
Scragend - ( very bald neck poor little love!)
Bez - (bit of a daydreamer, drifts off into a trance!)
Ginger - (my sons choice down to her lovely colour!)
Chocolate - (as above!)
Emona - (looks quite sad, and daughter said therefore an EMO??)
Amber - (again a lovely colour!)

4 more to go - think i'll have to do a bit more watching! its tough but somebodies gotta do it!
