We broke the local strays by keeping a stack of dried rose prunings to hand (and some big blackthorn boughs for winter digging), which we laid across the bare earth.  Cats aren't stupid, so they went elsewhere!

Hi all,
Make up a mix of jeyes fluid plus water, or use armillatox at the recommended mix of 50 parts water to 1 of armillatox, pour some of this into a bowl ,soak used teabags in this & then spread them around the perimeter of your beds. Cats hate the smell, & stay away, just keep resoaking or replacing the teabags every couple of weeks. This really does work

Jeyes fluid is poisonous to animals, if they do get it on their feet or fur and lick it off it is very bad for them.

We have 4 cats, i keep them off my raised beds by putting plastic netting over the soil. The type you can use for beans or peas to grow up. This makes it hard for them to dig and they will find another loo that is easier to use.

How about lion dung? I'm sure once they smell a bigger cat they won't do it again?
