phew, what a palaver getting this done. (my end not this site   ).
Hopefully this will show you her beak. It's not very clear, but if you picture her bottom mandible as your index finger and the next finger as her upper, cross your fingers as if hoping for the best and youll have an idea of whats gone wrong. She's eating grass, pellets and drinking ok.

i for one would report this person to the RSPCA  as it sounds like he is not interested in the well being of his chickens

or have i misunderstood the post

The RSPCA have absolutely zero, nowt, none, zip didly squat authority.  The dress up in police lookalike uniforms call themselves by quasi official police terms such as inspector attempt to question people as if they had the right to.

The recent changes in legislation have changed nothing, they have no more rights than my 2yr old son to make a prosecution.

My advice to anyone who keeps animals and finds the RSPCA knocking on there door, is to politely escort them from your premises, telling them they are not welcome on your premises and that if they persist to harrass you then you will ask a court to consider a restrainer order.  Then immediately call the police and make a formal complaint of harrasment.

I have no problem with them helping the police with genuine cases of cruelty, but no, they are not the police and they quite often try to seize animals that are well looked after.  That and the RSPCA dog kennels puts the animals down after 1 month.

Oi RSPCA inspectors, if you want to really do something worthwhile get a job at DEFRA or become a traffic warden.

Rant over, normal programming to be resumed shortly.
