Why is that then - I haven't ever read it - in fact I don't buy magazines - then I have more money to spend on other things, like seeds, and quail eggs for example

Grow Your Own Magazine gave me a copy of the Alotment Gardener's Cookbook last month. Each month they have giveaways which you apply for. I just got lucky I guess.

The reason I won't buy it is it's £7.99 which I think is extortionate, even though you get seeds free (but I do anyway).

They have a seed offer quite often for £1.99 p&p,had it every month as a gift sub.now I occassionally get it if something interesting comes up.
