Anyone know of a marigold that doesnt smell like cat pee?

We want to do companion planting this year in a bid to keep the nasty bugs away from our plot.

Marigolds feature heavily in the books and magazines, but the problem is that we think they smell like cat pee

On Jamie At Home last night he had marigolds - well, thats what he said they were but they didn't look like it to me- so I thought I'd ask here

There are different types, but if you ask me, or anyone with a nose , they all stink horrendous, that's part of the point in growing them as companion planting.

yup, they honk to ward off nasties  :D

Calendula are good for the veggies but don't stink  :D
