hi all
last year i grew my carrots in an old bath tub with great results.
i entend to do the same this year,my question is as the tub is still full of the compost i grew them in (it was homebase`s peat free compost)
can i use this again as it is or do i throw it all on the compost heap for next year and buy new.

i think you can use it again, but not for carrots two years in a row.

I wouldn't use it two years ina row for carrots but if you have another bath tub put new compost in that for your carrots  and use last years for salads .  If you only have the one tub take it out and spread it on the beds it doesn't need to go on the compost heap.

As above but you dont need to completly empty it, take it down about 3/4 and top up with fresh, thats what i do.
