I知 just going to plant a bear route apple tree can I put a bit of fish bone and blood in the soil

I don't think it'd do harm or good.

Really the best thing is dig the hole twice as wide as deep, nice mixture of compost and if possible chuck a bit of mycorrhizal fungi on the roots.

Then stake it in and wait. A good tip is to plant comfrey under it and maybe a few daffodils. Looks good and they're great companion plants for fruit trees (and comfrey tea is fantastic fertilizer in lieu of tomato feed)

Good advice on the mycorrhizal fungi. Only thing I'd add is don't put fertiliser directly in the planting hole, it can burn the roots on a bare root tree. Better to let it settle in for a season and then start feeding the following spring once it's established.
