Cherries, pruning
« on: August 08, 2025, 14:20 »
Hi all. There's not much here about pruning cherry trees to shape and for fruit. I know it's in late summer but that's all. My young cherry needs shaping and online doesn't really help any. Is it pruned like an apple summer prune? I don't want it to get out of hand size wise and I want fruiting spurs for subsequent cropping.
Any help?

I'm no good at describing pruning. In such instances, I tend to go to the RHS website by default.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
