they could do, but even i didnt take them out of the inccy at 1 and 2 days to see inside..... :roll:

There is no way they can get heavier. They will lose a little water through the shell, and as babe says get a little lighter.

5 times is better, and always one way then the other, or you'll strangle the embryo. and always an odd amount so they dont sit on the same side two nights running.

and thanks aunty, i thought they did only lose weight. its a good way of checking fertility by keeping a diary of the weights.

eggs do lose weight during incubation......this is also a good way to check humidity......

you have to have a graph so you can see what is happening.....if the weight goes up, there is too much water in the air...if it goes down ( off the line of the graph ) then too little water.....should be about 15% loss over all.
sounds technical but when you have the hang of it, it is quite easy really....i have been using this method for about a year now, and i also have a heart beat monitor, takes the guess work out of candling....

EDIT: i just had a look and in one egg i can see a red dot in the yoke

the other one the yoke is too dark to see :?: :?: :?:
