Best way to store eggs?

Neighbour says I should just keep them in a cupboard I´ve always kept eggs in the fridge. Any ideas on what is best?

if you use eggs regularly then they should be ok in the cupboard but if not stick to keeping the refrigerated. For cakes they are best at room temp.
My mate keeps chooks and her eggs are always on the sideboard, never in the fridge but she does have a large family so they are never there for long

They certainly keep longer in the fridge. But as it is a very dry atmosphere they should be kept in an egg box to brevent too much evaporation through the shell and blunt end up, to stop the air space migrating to the side.

By blunt end do you mean the flatter of the ends Aunt Sally? I´m being thick!!

My Mum swears blind that eggs should not be kept in a fridge!!! I do keep mine in the fridge, in an egg box, upside down !!!

We never keep ours in the fridge, but then they don't usually last very long! However, they do keep longer if in the fridge!!!
