I would like some but, I leave for work 7.30 am and get home 5.30 - 6 pm six daysw a week, would it really be fair to leave them for that amount of time, especially bearing in mind I'm not amorning person and it takes three cups of coffee to get me compus mentus.

Whity..I'm not a morning person either but, like others have said, the girls have changed all that! I got them for the same reasons as others...to regain my sanity after a stressful day job but quickly found that the best time is first thing when they get up. I go down in my dressing gown...don wellies in winter (!)..what a sight I am, spend half an hour opening up, feeding everyone and just enjoying this lovely time! It's great because in Winter, they all stay in bed later...when I want too as well, but in Summer they want to play out as early as possible! Oh yes, after everyone is playing out happily fed and watered, I take a coffee back to bed and relax for half an hour more!

I just wish I'd got my girls years earlier...but then... maybe my life would be different and I wouldn't have decided to throw in the towel at work and move out here for a little of "the good life"!

Get yourself some hens and start really living....and loving those early mornings!!

Good luck,

Judi

Im exactly the same Judi, especially in the summer months when the early morning sun is shining on the garden. I sit out with my coffee, thinking of all those poor people I used to work with, and glad that we bit the bullet, walked the walk over here and changed our lives.
We dont have much money to live on, but we are oh so happy. This is indeed a great country to live in. What town/village do you live in, as we know Brittany quite well.

Mary.
