We now have a knitting pattern for the

Battery Hen 'Chux Tux'  :D

requires approx 1 ball of wool and 6 hours apparently.

Can forward on to anyone who wants it - just PM your email addy.

It's in MS Word .doc format. Can try and change to format of your choice if this is a prob.

I don't have chooks, I'mnot allowed on the lottie and we have nowhere for themin the garden.  Plus it wouldn't be fair as we work long hours and wouldn't be able to give them the time they deserve - but one of my favourite places here on the forum is in The Hen House.

You'll have some chooks in the garden eventually whighty

Even the smallest garden can be home to two or three beautiful little hens, and Bantams tak up even less space  :D

Thank you.  I don't feel like a Peeping Tom any more.  But when you have to deal with the general public all day sometimes half an hour in the  hen house is all I need to feel sane again.

I'm the same as Wighty!!!

I love to come here and read all about your lovely chooks... I'm so envious! They all seem to have such great characters.  :D

I can just about knit (very slowly) but if I can knit a chooky warmer and send it to anyone then I will. Anything to help those poor little ex batts. :(
Snappy

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.

Thats really sweet SD.  My Ex batt are a little more feathered than most that came out of the crates!!!  I tried not to be too choosy but I had to think of my little girl who was going to fall head over heels with whatever chook i brought home! Also these are my first chickens and thought the really poorly ones would do a lot better with experienced owners like Babe! ....... and i was right!!!

That's how I feel when I get home and spend time with my chucks, mum & kids just ignore me when I stomp thro the house and out to back garden, half hour out with cooing hens (yes i'm sure they're hens & not pigeons), and i'm almost tolerable.

Go on get a couple.
