Serama chick's tail always held low - is this genetic?
« on: September 21, 2024, 19:21 »
I have a serama chick, I THINK female as her crown and wattles have only just started coming in and getting reddish, and her tail is always pointing down. It was like that when I first got her, I thought it might be a breed trait as I've never had seramas before (I'm more of a buff orpington/Rhode Island red kinda gal) but I was looking up how to identify sexes with the breed and what kind of traits display when, and they all had their tails up.

She eats and drinks and poops normally, is curious and active, doesn't seem to be showing any particular signs of distress besides her tail being drooped all the time...should I be worried? She's not old enough to be eggbound.
