Sawfly larvae
« on: August 04, 2024, 17:28 »
Is anyone else suffering from a plague of these larvae?  My raspberry leaves look like net curtains, as do the leaves on some of the roses?  Is there anything that can be used to kill them that is safe to use on edible crops?  After spending a good few hours seeking out and squashing them by hand, I still haven't managed to get them under control.

Pyrethrum and neem oil are supposed to be effective, but if it your raspberries you want to spray and they are fruiting, I would think twice about that.
