Where are all the butterflies?
« on: July 28, 2024, 16:53 »
Normally at this time of the year my garden is full of butterflies and the nasturtium leaves in some of the beds are peppered with holes where their caterpillars have been feeding on them. They are all pristine so far. No wasps either. Is it all down to the last couple of months being so wet?

I think so, it was wettest just when everything would have been emerging.
The numbers have started to pick up here, over the last month or so..

I’ve seen a few at home and the cabbage whites are out on force at the allotment.  Not seen many wasps, but there are loads of bees around.
