Dear fellow gardener,

I have been growing potatoes in growing bags and used a high quality compost recommended for potato growing in bags. I had a fantastic crop of Desiree and Alberta (former Bintje). Can I reuse part of the compost in the grow bags next season, mix it with fresh compost and then plant the tubers? Or do I need to discard it all?

I wouldn't reuse it for the same family of plants (spuds, tomatoes) but might reuse it for other types of crops. with refreshed fertiliser etc.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

The compost I used in my experiment tub I tipped onto my compost heap. Don't know if that's right or wrong
