Went to the allotment this afternoon. I’ve got a couple of year and a half Goosberry Bushes there. when I looked at them this afternoon, I noticed that one of them all the leaves have been chewed any idea what this is? Will it damage the plant?

I think there's something called gooseberry sawfly which may be the culprit.

How do you tackle that? And also will the bush be okay?

This is the bush that they stripped the leaves off. Will the leaves come back?

It looks terrible when that happens doesnt it!!

The sawfly lays its eggs within the stem and the caterpillars appear and strip the bush (there is also a similar issue with roses). They will regrow next year but not likely this. I dont know of a non chemical treatment but there maybe a nematode treatment available.
