The tomatoes in the greenhouse are now doing well, after a very late start  ::)
Runner beans are looking good, flowering well and I've noticed more bees about in the last couple of weeks...

That’s amazing Odders my garlic is the size of walnuts this year. What was the variety? Where in the country are you?

No idea what variety.
I started off with a garlic bulb from Aldi five years ago which had started sprouting & all I know is it's a hardneck.
Each year, I keep back the two best bulbs, put them in the fridge in late August, then split & plant the cloves in a 40 cell tray second week in October & plant out when the roots start showing at the base of the tray.
They either go in the polytunnel, or under a mini polytunnel in one of the beds.
I'm in West Cumbria & only a couple of miles from the coast, so mild winters most years but low summer temperatures too,
Well odders you are breaking all the rules but it seems to be working for you!

Sometimes you don't know how well some things have done until you lift them :)

So far, courgettes and broad beans have been good. Feels like everything is about 1m delayed relative to same time last year. A bit worried about my winter squashes!

Just lifted the first head of Sarpo Mira potatoes which I’m growing for the first time this year as Desiree always got blighted. The tops are huge and still very green so I’m continuing to water them well as they look like there is still plenty of room for more growth. Pleased with 1.5kg off one plant and as a bonus they tasted really nice roasted this evening. I had them planned for baked potatoes over winter, so hopefully equally good for this, certainly the size should be suitable.

Oh the first photo of the potatoes in the black tray is just the first bucket emptied so that isn't 2.7kg in that tray

Update so far:
Kelvedon Wonder peas excellent.
All three varieties of garlic excellent too - Early Purple Wight, Rosso di Sulmona and Mersley Wight
Kestrel second early potatoes have been magnificent, best crop I've ever had.
Beans and courgettes are now starting to motor.
Flat leaf parsley very good.   Cucumbers too.
Wizard field beans were decent.
Blackcurrants, blackberries, figs, blueberries and loganberries all good, raspberries, gooseberries, redcurrants and rhubarb all poor for different reasons.
Still waiting for tomatoes - only Sungold and Banana Legs have ripened so far.
Brassicas not doing so well, nor peppers and aubergines.   Onions and shallots very small.
Beetroot so so.   Carrots a disaster.

My tomatoes are doing extremely well, growing in abundance. Cut leaves so the sun gets to the developing tomatoes. And I have tons of runner and green beans. We didn’t had too much rain and enough sun, not like last year.
