Dear gardeners,

I want to build a small rock garden and watched every video under the sun how to do it. You need to use landscape fabric as well. I used it on my strawberry plants 2 years ago and had the biggest concentration of slugs and snails under it so took it off. How can I best prevent slugs and snails under the fabric building a rock garden?

I wouldn't use fabric because, as you say, it's a perfect place for slugs and snails.

I can’t see why you would need to use it for a rock garden. What were the instructions for the advice you saw? Just miss it out.
