trailing lobelia
« on: June 10, 2024, 14:20 »
What has happened to mine.  They look very lush a green, but no flowers and certainly not trailing.  It is almost as if they have bolted.   I don't mind the look, but the idea was that they should trail around the pelargoniums in the centre.  I cannot even see these as they haven't grown.  Should I dig out the centres, or cut back the lobelia, or just leave as is.   Not sure, advice please.     Mrs Bouquet

Some of mine have only just started to flower Mrs B, I reckon it's the grotty weather making them late. I'm just leaving mine to sort themselves out, though....
Good luck!

Thanks, I have noticed a couple of flowers today,  I cannot do anymore on my 43 containers.  I shall leave and do whatever.   cheers,  Mrs B

My ordinary lobelias and my large-flowering begonias are well behind this year. They are only just producing flowers and only a few, so just grit your teeth and you never know they may get a hefty spurt on when things warm up.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
