Night Shift!
« on: May 30, 2024, 14:25 »
Anyone know what time slugs and snails start their night shift? I go along about 7am and many of them have left work early. Thinking of going along when their shift starts. loosing too much veg atm!
I've ordered some copper mesh so hope it works.

I've been hunting down the critters that have been demolishing marigolds in tubs and troughs. I find a good time to do this is just after dark. I employ a torch and rubber gloves.  The first night I turned out I must have disposed of around 20, the following night perhaps 10, then it was down to single figures on subsequent occasions. Most of the marigold have survived.
