Does anyone know what breed of chook our Amy is?..  She was sold to us as an Araucana - at the time she was a very young, dirty, bedragled and skinny looking..   She's obviously not an Araucana, we think she's just started laying - poss. very light beige eggs with brown spots..  She's a big feisty beauty.

She looks just like two of my girls.
I would say she is a Wyandotte as suggested by a previous post.

I just looked at the link you posted for me Aunt Sally.. (thanks).. The body shape is right, but her comb, though small, is 'normal'..

HI Babe..  No she hasnt got ear muffs, and has got no other features that are even remotely Araucana ish..
Beethoven, the chook with the mop on her head is supposedly an Araucana and lays beautiful blue / green eggs - she hasnt got ear muffs either - I spent ages checking out Araucana pics and info and they vary hugely - its really hard to find a true uk standard to go by..
Both the above chickens were bought from a bit of a rogue breeder - (one lives and learns :?)
