I've been tempted by padron peppers as they are harvested green, when did you sow yours out of interest? Might give them a go next year

I do have a few chillis forming on my plants now which is nice, the slugs have been active though

On the up side, I sowed my first seeds on 27th Jan and got the big lit propagator up and running. It has onions, early cabbage, peppers, chillies
If that's any help?

Yup the padrons were part of that lot.  I drizzled them with a little bit of olive and salt and air-fried them for a few minutes.

Both myself and OH got 2 hot ones amongst the sweet ones.  They are notorious for producing the odd hotter fruit.  Oh said his just had a bit of a kick.  I had 1 like that and 1 more like a proper chilli

Disappointing result from my Swift, first early potatoes.
Planted for seeds per 30 litre container as usual & emptied two tubs today, as the tops are dying back.
2.4kg total, compared to 2kg per container last year.
Only difference is I tried some organic potato fertiliser, rather than my usual Growmore or BF&B.
Leaves were definitely paler & pretty much yellow by the end.
In comparison, the foliage on all my Charlotte containers is a healthy dark green & far more vigorous.
Oh well; Growmore's a sight cheaper too...
Garlic hit really hard by rust, with softneck suffering most, so I harvested the softneck yesterday & have a reasonable crop.

Weeded the 'roots' bed and found 3 french breakfast radishes, a 'Tokyo Silky Sweet' turnip, a beetroot and dug up another 5lb of Pentland Javelins!

Loads of strawberries, they've been great this year. A few more rasps. And more sugar snap peas, although the pods are huge, the peas inside are tiny

Just harvested a bed of autumn planted garlic.
Had a bit of rust but otherwise healthy.
Brought them home to dry in the amazing sunshine today.
Keep digging
