Climbing strawberries

Has anyone had any luck with "climbing" strawberries, variety I believe to be Skyline?  Do they actually climb, or is it just a case of tying in runners to an upright support.

Not tried it myself as I don't think their runners would support me even though I am slight of stature.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
