Poorly potted aubergine

My backyard potted aubergine has gradually gone into a decline. The leaves are a sickly looking variegated yellow. The yellow seems to be creeping up the plant. It’s in part commercial compost part my own kitchen compost. A few days ago I gave it a proprietary tomato  feed . I can’t see any pests in there. Any advice? Thanks in advance

Agreed, aubergines are fussy tarts who need lots of heat and sunshine. Maybe give it a dose of tomato feed if you haven't done so already?

Despite the heat here, I have given up growing aubergines.  Too fussy, too many pests that don't seem to respond to organic pest controls (especially flea beetles). It is either not warm enough to set fruit early in the season, too warm later in the season.
